How does the character's actions affect other people in the story? Charlie, a 12 year old boy, and a football wizard, is the main character of this story. Charlie, who lives in L.A. is a fan of the Bulldogs, a team located there. He suggests to the owner that he should sign a free agent quarterback named Tom Pinkett. This causes a lot of drama from the media, with reports like, 12 year old general manager. Charlie also takes some criticism from his friends about his actions. That's how Charlie's actions affect other people in the story.

7. Write about what would happen if you brought one of your characters to school or home for a day. If I brought Stargirl who is a character in my book home one day she would decorate the whole house. Stargirl is a character who heavily stands out among others. She is arguably the kindest, sweetest person you will ever meet. If I brought her home for a day she would probable organize everything in the house and decorate. This is what would happen if i brought Stargirl home for a day.
What quality of which character strikes you as a good characteristic to develop within yourself over the years? Why? How does the character demonstrate this quality? Mick's work ethic is a quality I would like to develop within myself. Mick is a football player for Shillshole Highschool. In Mick's freshman year, he did not earn the starting job. But he kept working on his game until he moved into the starting lineup. I would like this quality because it would show all the effort I put in and help me out in the long run. That's why i want Mick's work ethic and why I think it's a good quality.
11. How would the story be different if told through another character's eyes? The story would be different if told from another character's perspective because no one experiences what Ben does. Ben McBain is a 11 year old football player for his hometown Rockwell. Ben is a very undersized player and just barely even made the weight requirements for his league. But Ben's dream has always been to be a quarterback, but like I stated, they think he's too small and usually put him at halfback. But, always being doubted he pushed himself and now he's one of the best on the team. No other character in the book deals with adversity like Ben, that's why it would be different if someone else told the story.
Who tells the story? Is this the best person to tell it? Why? In my book Molly tells the story, Molly is a 12 year old girl living in Boston with her mom's best friend after her mom passed away. Molly is definitely the best character to tell this story having her mother's background story and meeting her father and learning his, no other character has this. That is why Molly is the best character to tell the story.
Pick one character and explain why you would/would not like to have him/her as a friend. Out of all the characters in my book I would not want to be friends with Josh Cameron. Josh Cameron is a pro NBA player in my book and is the reigning MVP of the league. It is shown often times all Josh Cameron cares about is himself, he even has to have somebody else around him to speak nicely for him. Josh Cameron is so wrapped up in himself he doesn't even have time to spend with his daughter Molly(the main character) who has just revealed that she is his biological daughter. That's why I wouldn't want Josh Cameron as a friend.
Student Question: What, if anything, did you gain by reading this book? Should I use it again some time with another class in the month of October? Why or Why not? I gained the knowledge that even if things seem unlikely that they are still possible. In my book this 12 year old team loses their team but somehow on a miracle gets it back and they end up winning the championship with only 10 players, i strongly encourage you to use this book for your class as it taught me a very valuable lesson and it may do the same for others.
Student Question: Put yourself in the author's shoes--Why do you think s/he wrote this book? I think the author wrote this book to show that even if things seem unlikely for you, anything is possible. My book, The Underdogs is about a 12 year old football team that loses their team because the town can't fund it. Will is a 12 year old boy who lives in Forbes, PA, and is one of the boys that was on the team. Will, very sad after losing his team, makes an effort to save it by sending a letter to a big company, and they accept it, and they offer to sponsor the team. That just goes to show even if things seem unlikely, or impossible even, there's always a chance.
Student Question: How does this chapter remind you of something else? For example: something you have read before, somewhere you have visited, someone you know? This book reminds me of the Manning brothers Peyton and Eli. QB1 is about Jake Cullen who lives in Granger, Texas. Jake is a freshman quarterback at Granger high school, who is following in the footsteps of his dad Troy, and his brother, the legendary Wyatt Cullen. At first most people do not believe Jake who i'm comparing to Eli Manning, Pro-Bowl quarterback for the NY Giants, can be as good as his brother Wyatt who i'm comparing to Peyton Manning, NFL legend. People did not believe in Eli as they did Peyton, same as Jake and Wyatt, both both Jake and Eli prove that they can be great quarterbacks an lead a team like their brothers, maybe even better. That's what my book reminded me about.
Student Question: If your main character were deserted on a desert island, what 3 personal objects would they want with them and why? If the main character of my book, Drew, were deserted on a desert island, i think he would want a Basketball, because he is amazing at basketball and loves playing it. I also think he would want his ipod, and his headphones, because he mentions multiple times he likes listening to music while playing basketball. That's what I think Drew would want if e were on a desert island.
